Harriet Tubman Middle School Portland Public Schools, Portland, Oregon Welcome to Harriet Tubman Middle School. Harriet Tubman Middle School is an excellent example of a "City Center" school. We are located on the lower North side of town approximately five minutes from downtown Portland. We are very proud of our culturally diverse student body and faculty. The "City of Roses" has begun planning for the 2005 Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The Students at Harriet Tubman are currently brainstorming possible ways that they can participate in this historical event
