General Information & What to Bring to the Summer 2003 Workshop. (draft)

This document covers a variety of issues, from travel to and from the workshop, to lodging and meals, and what to bring in order to ensure your comfort and full participation in the workshop activities.

This year the workshop has been streamlined as much as possible to assure ample opportunities for learning, exploring and collegiality.

About Travel:
The allowances for travel are similar to those agreed upon for previous workshops. Those of you who intend to drive your own vehicles to and from DC will need to get prior approval from Bob K. (contact shelleyh@uidaho.edu or call (208) 885-7105). Please do this ASAP.  If you are choosing to drive, the reimbursement portion allowed will be the amount allowed as if you were to fly.  There will NOT be an allowance for rental cars this year, nor a parking allowance. The local metro, bus and subway are very efficient in the DC area. There will be a small allowance for travel to and from the airport only ($60.00). Travel requisition forms are available on this website. Please use this to claim your expenses.
To make flight arrangements, please contact, via e-mail, Judy Lees  at Global Travel on Monday's through Thursday's between 8:00am and 3:00pm Pacific Time or call the toll free telephone number (800) 227-3165. Judy has a list of Rediscovery travelers.
